International Women’s Day was celebrated by Indian Academy Group of Institutions on 8th March, 2017. Mrs. Preeti Gupta, Chief Operating Officer, Gokaldas Images graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and M. Shubha Amrutha, Karnataka State Awardee – Lalitha Kala and Karakushala was the Guest of Honour. Dr. T. Somasekhar, Chairman, Indian Academy Education Trust presided over the programme. As a part of Women’s Day celebration, Women’s Council, IADC-A had organized Rangoli and Quiz competition for all the women staff members of IAGI. Mrs. Preeti Gupta and Ms. Shubha Amrutha disbursed prizes to the winners. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members of IAGI hosted a lunch on the day for all the housekeeping staff and presented gifts for a few elderly housekeeping staff members. The formal function was followed by cultural programme by the teaching and non-teaching staff members.
