The Annual Recognition day for the academic year 2016-17 was organized on 21st April 2017 and was presided by Dr. T. Somasekhar, Chairman, Indian Academy Education Trust(IAET). Ms. Bharathi T, Secretary, IAET and Heads of Indian Academy Group of Institutions graced the occasion with their benevolent presence. Ms. Srividhya, SWO, IADC-A, rendered the Welcome Address and also read out the Annual Report for the Academic year 206-17, in which she mentioned the various activities under the umbrella of the Student Welfare Office and the Development Centers namely Indian Academy Centre for Professional Excellence(IACPE) and Indian Academy Center for Education in Human Values(IACEHV).
In his presidential address, the Chairman emphasized the importance of building moral and ethical values in the student community. He also appreciated the extra effort put in by all the faculty members towards promoting experiential learning.
It was worthwhile watching the University Rank Holders, Course and Class Toppers, Best outgoing students and the Best Student Leaders receiving their Certificates of merit and Cash awards.
The students who had won laurels in Inter-Collegiate Fests were recognized on the same day as a step towards motivating young talent in greater platforms.
Prize winners and volunteers of the departmental club activities were recognized with certificates of merit and appreciation respectively for their best performance and service rendered in the respective clubs in their capacity as Office Bearers / Volunteers.
The programme was concluded with Vote of Thanks rendered by Ms. Maria, SWO, IADC-A.
