Traditionally Management education has focused efforts on training students to lead organizations in a business world that is increasingly competitive and complex. However, in order to be distinct and versatile management education must help students to ascertain whether the course would add value to them in becoming only a manager or a good human being as well. Besides emphasis on communication skills and personality development, there is a need for students to believe that management education is a way to make a positive difference in this world.
The I Semester M.B.A. students visited Little Sisters of the Poor – Home for the Aged is a place where the elderly people above the age of 65 is given a shelter irrespective of their caste, creed or religion. The organization is a true example of selfless service rendered by the group of sisters for the betterment of mankind. We are extremely thankful to the management of Little Sisters of the Poor which provided our M.B.A. students an opportunity to interact with the elderly inmates. An experience which was valued by our students and instilling in them a desire to contribute to the well being of society.
