The Post Graduate Department of Economics aims at building human capital in the discipline of Economics for teaching, training, research and for employment in various sectors of the economy. The department remains focused on the formation of Economists who will be instrumental in transformation of the economic realities for our developing Economy.
Department of Economics (PG studies) inaugurated Economics club “ECONOCRATES” on 19 Sept 2016 with the objective to provide platform for learning, exchange of thoughts, self development and effective team work.
On the day of Inauguration, Econocrates unfolded its scheduled events for the academic session 2016-2017 followed by an inspirational address by honorable Principal Dr. Jerome Xavier. This Event was graced by the esteemed Heads from other Depts. Badging ceremony was conducted for the office bearers of ECONOCRATES.
ECONOCRATES aims at organizing various activities like guest lectures, work shop, debate, paper presentations, quiz, group discussion and young economist competition.
On the whole it was successful and graceful event.
