The theme of EXIBHERE was “Indian English Writing”. Students explored the cultural diversity India is known for. It was a feast to the eyes of all the literature lovers. The highlight of the exhibition was international students presenting models depicting the epics of India with beautiful explanation.
Shiva of Amish Tripati transcended geographical boundaries to emerge as a perfect human being was a great attraction with a live SHIVA model. Tagore’s poetry descended as a beautiful river ‘Mukthadhara’, was serenity at its best, Lord Buddha a symbol of peace touched the hearts of the visitors and stood as a symbol, the need of our world peace.
The puppet show, skit, songs, games on literature, poetry recital and dance- Shiv Tandav was the glory of the event. The department kept the exhibition open for the students of other institutions and the Higher Primary Govt. School and Indian Academy Pre-University College.
The chairman Dr T. Somsekhar and the secretary Mrs. Bharathi. T. visited and boosted the morale of the students. The dignitaries appreciated and encouraged the student community with their valuable inputs.
The celebration Literature day had two facets EFFERTE ILLUDE (Speak Out) and EXHIBERE which drew the curtain down with an applause and appreciation from the visitors and the participants.
EFFERTE ILLUDE offered an avenue to the students to showcase their talents and exhibit in the competitions like, Debate, Spell Bee, Taboo, Thespian, JAM and Free Style. The participation was both from the Under-Graduate & Post-Graduate students. It was a thrilling experience for the participants as well as the audience.
It was enlightenment and an enthusiastic learning experience to the young minds which gave room for lot more to come in future.
